Young children are natural engineers, they enjoy creating and building their worlds. They are also fascinated by engineered machines and structures. Young Engineers was created to illustrate the natural links between the worlds of young children at play and engineers at work. Covering twelve engineering disciplines, we hope it encourages adults and young children to share stories about engineering, and to engage in play-based engineering experiences together. In turn, we hope this helps to raise young children’s engineering awareness and sparks their imaginations and creativity.
